Position Overview: andbull; Office and home based positionandbull; Full time work, Monday to Friday, minimum 8 hrs per day, work hours are 7am - 4pm, start as soon as possibleMajor responsibilities: The Web Developer assists the company by implementing on-page Search Engine Optimization (SEO) work for our clients with accuracy in line with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Systems that increase the web rank of our clientandrsquo; s websites. andbull; Make changes to titles, headings and content changes to websites on various platforms, from static page websites, to CMSandrsquo; s including Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal and Mambo. andbull; Assist in developing security systems to ensure clientandrsquo; s website credentials are stored safely andbull; Develop custom Web Applications to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our IT Systems. andbull; Take static HTML sites and re-create the same design in wordpress. andbull; Make design and coding changes to all types of sites from static HTML pages to various CMSandrsquo; s including Joomla, Mambo, Wordpress, Drupal and other custom made CMS andbull; Develops and creates dozens of wordpress templates for information based news type sites. andbull; Make changes at the database level when required for custom made CMS solutions andbull; Develop solutions to make on-page Search Engine Optimization (SEO) solutions for sites built on unfamiliar CMS platforms andbull; Clean up sites thoroughly that are infected with Malware and or other malicious code. andbull; Modify parts or a whole siteandrsquo; s Design so that it reflects the latest standards of HTML. andbull; Undertaking project work or reasonable duties as requested by the direct manager. andbull; Work on internal web projects as required by direct manager. andbull; Build websites using technologies that conform to the latest international web standards. Required Skills andbull; Expert knowledge of producing table less XHTML, HTML/CSS, PHP, Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator, able to create standards compliant cross browser sites, and good andbull; Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, PHP and dynamic HTML; experience with Macromedia Flash. andbull; Understanding of Mod Rewrite and HTAccess functions andbull; Comfortable working with sites built on both Microsoft and Linux based servers. andbull; Superior knowledge of current web-design trends and techniques, a strong online portfolio displaying user-centred design, and experience with web database solutions definite assets. andbull; Professional verbal and written communication skills andbull; Customer/client focused andbull; Time management andbull; Initiative, proactive and takes ownership andbull; Problem solving andbull; Team playerandbull; Have working knowledge of HTML5.0, and be comfortable using the most popular off the shelf CMS platforms including Wordpress, Joomla, Mambo and Drupal. andbull; Be able to create clean, efficient database driven web applications when required. andbull; Have a quiet, distraction free work space andbull; Fast and reliable internet connection
