Growing company in need of a Part-time Assistant (or two) to provide essential support with important projects over the next few weeks. Potential to grow into a Full Time position. Primary duties will include * (will change in the future if contract is extended) *Replying to emails and phone calls as necessary (this will be a growing task, but English, as clear as possible, and professionalism is a must) *Schedule coordination*Records Management*Content research and writing *Document Preparation and Management*Task Management*Email campaign management*Other various duties as assignedThe ideal candidate is a fast learner with a " Get it Done " attitude. Accommodations include a full schedule organizer along with other tools to make your job as simple as possible, so the primary factor we are looking for is a person who is truly computer literate, preferably familiar with popular business systems such as Zoho, Gmail, Google Voice, VoIP, CRM, (proficiency is highly desirable, but training will be provided). Additionally, the ability to navigate a website back office (in general) is ideal, as well as the ability to expand with our company are key factors we will be looking at. While we may have to experience several VAs in order to find the right fit for our company, our goal is to establish a working relationship with a person who can grow WITH our company and advance to other positions and duties as they become available. We would prefer not to have to start and stop regularly. I want to build a meta-IVR application that can provide an alternative to the Internet for the 3 billion people worldwide who have cell phones, but no computers or Internet access. This is a visionary idea that could improve the lives of millions of people in rural India (and all over the world), and you can help make it happen (and get very public credit for doing so). Because this work is not to benefit me personally, and yet I have to fund the development with my very limited personal resources, I am asking for a very low rate, $1 - $2 per hour, and I can only commit to 10 hours/week at this time, although I will try to increase that later on. Once we can demonstrate a working version, I will try to get foundation funding, and if that happens we could of course increase the rate to market levels. I have already designed the entire system in pseudo-code, but need it translated into a working version using FreeSwitch or something similar (I am flexible on the platform if you can make it happen). You must be fluent in English both written and spoken. We additionally require that you have at least 5 years of development experience, you must be comfortable with PHP. We want to see MVC framework experience, preferably CodeIgniter. CakePHP, Symfony, or Zend Framework will do. Please specify which of these you have experience with and how much. You would be working in an Agile method, performing work on tasks on user stories, please state your experience with Agile and your comfort level with the process. When working on a project and have tasks assigned you will participate in regularly scheduled project scrums (usually done over Skype, or VoIP SIP client) our iteration length is one week. We use Git for version control and you would be developing locally on your machine and checking in to our development repo regularly. We only want individuals, no teams please. If you do not have 5 years experience with the technologies stated above we will still consider you if you can demonstrate a high degree of skill through portfolio pieces or code samples. Need for a knowledgeable programmer/system designer who can pull compatible elements together to demonstrate the workings of a system that can receive target address data and make this available to mobile phones and use free GPS system data to draw and calculate distance and time from the mobile phone to the target address on a real-time regular time refresh (say every 1 min) basis. Use of SMS texting also utilised. Users would login and register to use the system and be recorded in a database. All the usual login and password routines would be needed. Security is important and encryption required on the data transmissions. A recommendation as to whether an app is needed or not, and a justification of that recommendation is needed. The system should cross platform compatible re mobile phones/devices. Microsoft products not wanted in this system development. You will be contributing to a work in progress, all IP is retained by us. Contractor requirementsI need a developer with whom I can interact online. I prefer to communicate via Skype.
