We would like to have built our entire online portfolio of our new company. It is a website that is to show the competencies of a newly formed entity that brings together a lot of IT services ranging from Encrypted Solutions to Search Engine Optimization (SEO) lead generation. We are looking for a person who can manage the entire website buildout from start to finish. We would like to have the website built to include all mobile platforms and link with social networking sites to be Search Engine Optimization (SEO) ready. The company is a marketing vector for several other Swiss based international companies that are all IT based. The goal is to be a juggernaut website to direct traffic to our various partners to promote their services in an efficient manner. We would like to work closely with an IT company that encompasses several skill sets including graphic design, database management, and Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The project scope is to design and build a complete website that includes the portfolios of the relative companies that highlight their key functions in an appealing, effective manner. The website that I need will consist of set of major sections. I will list eahc section individually starting from the one with the hieghset priotiy till the one with the lowest priotiy: 1) Programming Languages Preferecnes) a- Programming Language: Javab- Server environment: It should be deployable on all Operating Systems such as Linux. c- Server OS: Linuxb- Server: Tomcat would be my preference. c- Server Services: Use REST services with enablement for SOAP as well. d- Web Client: Use Javascript and Flex. 2) Development environment Basic Requirement: a- Enable intetnationalization (bear in mind RTL languages such as Arabic) b- Use semantic web approaches in the developmentc- Provide extensible incremntal development. So, in the future, the website would be easy-to-extend for futher enhancemnts. The main important point i here is to enable the users/admin to add their own applications like the same way that we have in Facebook. d- Provide Defect tracking system, so we could log defects, and tasks using it for further enhancementse- Source control: I do not have a strong preference but I would prefer SVN. f- Provide data backbup and restore in a regular and conveninet manner g- Provide daily/weekly build while going through the development cycle. 2) Video SharingI want to have a video sharing capabilties near to what we have in sites like youtube, metacafe, or so on. The main concentration would be as follows: a- Enable admins or users to upload videosb- Video Player based on Flash (for non-chrome browsers), and HTML5 (for Chrome) c- Enable video tagging (the same in youtube), and tag-based searchd- enable videos smart cateogrization. So, the users could search for sport category for instance (the seasy way), or categorize their search for something more specific (such as: Sport- Soccer- Brazil) in a nested-like way. e- Allow video commenting. Give the uploaded the ability to control the video comments th same what we have in youtube/metacafe. f- Providing a straightforward uploader to make it easy for the users/admins3) News Portalsa- We need to enable the admin users to post news and hyberlinks from other websites. So, the users could go to this portal tab in our website, and navigate different posted links, and news in other sites, and would be able to navigate the contents of these news in our website portal, without having to surf out of our website. We have to make it doable for all websites (not RSS-enabled sites only; in such case, we could provide an HTML parser technique). 4) Account Settingsa- Each user has their own account (could be refered as an e-mail in our website) b- Provide e-mail management (inbox, or so on). b- Each user has their own channel (like youtube). c- Each user has their own friends. This requires having a FOAF profile for each user. d- Provide suggested videos for the users based on their friends/contributions in the site. e- Each user will have their own blog. f- The search for existing artifacts in the site could take its information based on the user's FOAF profile (Social Searching). g- Enable the users to link their accounts to Tweeter and Facebook. So, when new posted topics will be RSSed to users in their Facebook and Tweeter. develo papllication like facebook. 5) Foruma- We need to have a forum for the website. 6) Live video sharingb- Enable the admin/user to publish their own channels (using their own sataelite card) 7) Chata- Provide an AJAX-based chat service====The way that we can implement the work together could be divided into a set of steps according to the main componenets that I have listed. We could start developing each copmonent indidiually, and publish the website, while other compoenents being developed still. the first we need is to determine a timtline for the work, and schedule for the development timeframe. I do not have a strict predetermined due date for having this work accomplished. But I will start with determininng that we could have the items (Video Sharing and News Portals) done within two to three weeks at most.

This job is for on call webmaster for the long term. It will consist of two portions, hourly and a fixed price job. We are a small ISV that currently have a couple of developers and do not run any source control software for our projects. We are planning on creating a Windows Amazon EC2 instance and running team foundation server 2010 on that instance. We have licensees for all the software. The project would be to get an EC2 instance running with Windows server 2008, Sql standard, IIS and Team foundation server. We do not require sharepoint integration. Once the server is operational the contractor must create a very basic web solution in Visual studio to prove that the sever is accessible by our developers. The applicant will also need to give a two hour over the phone hand over of the server and some basic training. (phone call is at my expense) Payment will be made once this can be checked and the server is checked for any security backdoors, if any backdoor users or malicious software is found on the server payment will be withheld and possible prosecution may entail. The applicant should have had experience setting up and using team foundation server. We also have work available for asp. net, java, jquery and sql server available a good job will ensure further work in the future.

I need a person who can do random tasks to help me with my website projects. You will need to have some basic design/development knowledge, but most of all, you must be fast, efficient, and easy to communicate with. Here are some examples of tasks that I need done on a weekly basis: - adding text content to a website (HTML/CSS) - migrating a blog from Blogger to WordPress- uploading images to a database (using a simple admin panel) - checking website code using W3C validator tool- creating profiles on marketing websites such as Krop, Behance, and others- BONUS POINTS! I would love to have a person who has lots of graphic design experience. Not just using photoshop, but actually creating really professional print designs, web graphics, and other small projects. In your reply, please explain your relevant experience. You will need to use the ODesk monitoring application. I expect a 24-36hr turnaround time on all tasks. We will use a web-based project management system (Basecamp) to manage tasks. You must speak perfect English, and be available on Skype regularly.
