Resident Aliens will be considered but US Citizens preferred. You will be required to interact with client via telecon so professional presentation skills required. At least 10 years of experience as well as deep understanding of DW principles in Oracle.

Administrator required to ensure the sound implementation of a Database on a MYSQL server and a corresponding website on a web server: 1) undertake analysis of both servers; 2) install database on MYSQL server; 3) ensure website points to MYSQL server; 4) provide documentation. I have some questions regarding MySQL and MS SQL Server. Which on is better regarding security? If we have a web based app, what kind of security can be implemented (ie certificates) Performance based on multiple users changing data at any given time and pulling reportsWhich is better clustered or secured server environment for multiple users from different locationsImporting data from Excel and or XML (which is better) Real time data access and manipulationWe are trying to decide whether to use MySQL or MS SQL Server latest version. we might have a few more questions but will need your expertise to answer these questions and would like some sources to backup your notes. We need a part-time/project/contract ETL developer with the following experience: Maintaining and supporting data warehouse and multidimensional database for a BI/Decision Support application; Utilizing MS SQL Server 2005/2008 Database, MS SSIS, MS SSAS tools; Designing and developing complex ETL packages using MS SSIS; Tuning SQL queries and SQL Server database. Source data is clients' point-of-sale systems in various database formats: MS SQL, Access, FoxPro, databasease and more. Projects will have significant time windows so you can choose when you do the work - evenings/weekend, and so on are fine. Work remotely with hosted servers using BIDS/Visual Studio 2008.

I have a huge database that I need to set up in a way that I can have better access to it. Currently I am running a custom windows app for that, but it is too slow and I cannot perform more complex queries (I am limited to 2 filters on a query). The database is 9.1 GB in mysql. zip format. I have mysql, apache and phpmyadmin installed on my desktop computer. Ideally I would want the database to be accessible through that. I also have a dedicated linux server with a similar setup available. Please include your platform/application preference to handle this database in your application, and if there is any costs associated to that (apart from your hourly fee), please list that too.

Need assistance with Infosphere CDC environment administration. Busy professional taking on multiple clients using Infosphere CDC, also known as DataMirror, needs help with documentation taks, unix scripts, best practices, and so on. Must have direct experience with Infosphere CDC or DataMirror on Oracle and/or iSeries (AS/400) systems. Work will begin with a few hours and tasks as we gain a comfort level and could grow to full time depending up on workload and additional client needs.
