We have been exploring various options such as VMware (free versions), PaceMaker, and so on. We need help from an expert in this area to guide us in building a low-cost system that is highly available, very secure, and it can be easily manageable from remote location. You will prepare the best possible architecture (possibly using open source technologies), instructions to build it and guide our IT guys in building the server. The main purpose of the server is to manage/serve client applications that are deployed at the client's location. We need to maintain close to 100% up-time.
