I am looking for several people, preferably paralegals, to interpret, paraphrase, clarify, and re-word rules in The Bluebook (19th Ed.) so that they are more " user friendly, " as it were. While The Bluebook aims for conciseness, I am attempting to present the rules in another way to help people understand legal citations more clearly. Since this is part of a larger project, I would ask that you sign a non-disclosure agreement. I think the best way to split this up would be by the actual rule numbers. Since some rules are shorter than others, it would be better for you to submit a pre-bid indicating your hourly rate, and then we can negotiate a full price for the rules you are assigned. Additionally with your pre-bid, please include your level of comfort with the bluebook, whether you have access to a copy of the 19th Edition, and your background.

We are looking for occasional legal services related to contracts and copyrights. Presently, we are looking to develop a boilerplate contract between our company and prospective independent contractors who would be developing pattern and/or product designs for our company, or whose designs we would use on our products. The terms of the contract would vary between contractors. Some examples follow: a) Some amount up front with a set payment payable by us upon completion of the deliverable. Completion of the deliverable is when the completed art or design is approved by our business and is delivered to us in a form usable to our factories. b) Some amount up front with a set amount payable when sales of the respective item(s) reach a certain level. Sales level will be Net Sales defined as Gross Sales less Returns and Discounts. c) Some amount up front with a set amount payable when merchandise is available for sale in the US. All art and/or designs that are developed for our business will be owned by the business and can be used by us at our sole discretion. The contactor may not sell or lease or grant permissions to use or distribute the designs to any other party. The contractor will have no rights to seek additional compensation for their work. The contractor must verify that he/she has the rights to the designs to be used. The contract must be legally binding in the US and internationally. If you are qualified to create this contract for us, we would be interested in hearing from you. Thank you.
